New Years Message for 2010

The Year Ahead for this region. (Moreton Bay Region, Brisbane, Qld)

Local businessmen/women;

Keep following the same trends and there will be some financial rewards. Follow what you know and think ahead. This is the year to put what you have learnt into practice and not to take uncalculated risks. You will do well and things will improve. Struggle at the beginning of the year will lighten considerably by the second half of the year and money will start to flow more abundantly. Be consistent and steady for the best results.

This advice is recommended for families also. Many people will notice a definite increase in their income by the second half of the year as the financial climate shifts at last – much like the feeling of rain after a drought.

This will lessen a lot of stress for a lot of people and the mood will be notably happier in the region.

Building/Industry;

I see big, tall buildings being built. This development is especially prominent by the coast. Its will be a boost to the local economy, although resisted by some and seen as controversial. It will bring in jobs and money and will happen despite any complaints as it involves some determined businesses/companies who have some strong pull and a lot of money. Those smaller businesses that are worried by this need to know that they will be supported and looked after by the local community.

Also, buildings/businesses that provide services for the community will be built /provided for. The government will recognize certain organizations that need assistance and have been waiting patiently for quite a while. They will get the help they deserve.

I see some of these buildings/organizations being situated near local libraries.

Government;

Leadership will continue as it is for now. It will remain strong and the local government will support the community in many positive ways. They will deal with some issues that have been neglected for too long and there is a very enthusiastic and positive energy in the ranks. It will remain this way throughout the year.

Employment;

While there are a lot of people still without employment and suffering as a result, this year – whilst not perfect – will be an improvement on last year. It is a year to lay some ground work for your future, so it is a good time for fine tuning skills/studying etc.

Retail businesses

will experience some losses and stress. The year will feel like a long haul but it will have it’s positives. Be patient as it is the second half of the year that will prove to be profitable. Things will be more secure and comfortable then. Many people will feel like giving up but it is worth hanging in there, for your effort will pay off.

There will be some surprises in store this year for all – it is a year with many twists and turns as the unexpected plays a big part. It is no ordinary year.

In general, it will be a positive year – the ups and downs will be dramatic but there is a lot of joy for many – especially as the year progresses. Dynamic is the word for this year.
